Colleen Hoover’s Reminders of Him has made it to the big screen, and music is key in this story with Kenna’s (Maika Monroe) claim that all music is sad.
In the book, Ledger (played by Tyriq Withers) makes her a playlist of only happy songs which includes AJR’s “Bang,” Pink’s “Raise Your Glass,” BTS’ “Dynamite” and many more. Coldplay’s “Yellow” is the only song that translated from the book to the movie, and it gets a cover version treatment as well as the original.
Noah Cyrus, sister of Miley Cyrus and musician in her own right, wrote an original song for the film. Deadline spoke to Noah Cyrus on the red carpet at the Los Angeles premiere for the film, and she shared that she resonated with many themes of the story.
