A new group of passengers have boarded the producing team of Titanique as the musical parody makes its limited Broadway run.
Tony-winning producer Eva Price announced this week that Las Culturistas co-hosts Bowen Yang (who famously played the Iceberg on SNL‘s ‘Weekend Update’)and Matt Rogers and NSYNC members Joey Fatone and JC Chasez have joined her on the cult stage hit as previews kicked off Thursday at the St. James Theatre, with opening night set for April 12 and a final bow on July 12.
“We’re beyond excited to welcome this smart, outrageous, and completely unsinkable group of pop culture royalty aboard Titanique,” said Price. “As longtime supporters of the show, it means so much to have them now officially join us in this new capacity and help keep the ship sailing full speed ahead. Titanique is all about big laughs, big talent, and even bigger heart, and this group embodies all of that and more.”
Co-written by Tye Blue, Marla Mindelle and Constantine Rousouli, the Olivier Award-winning musical is a send-up of James Cameron’s Titanic (1997), complete with a Céline Dion-driven soundtrack that includes ‘My Heart Will Go On’, ‘All By Myself’ and ‘To Love You More’, and told from the perspective of the Canadian pop sensation.
