The U.S. men’s national soccer team has spent the last four years preparing for a World Cup on home turf and HBO has been following along.
The cable network will launch U.S. Against The World: Four Years With The Men’s National Soccer Team on May 12, one month before the tournament kicks off on June 11.
The five-part series follows stars such as Christian Pulisic, Tyler Adams, Tim Weah and Weston McKennie in the lead up to the cup. It will begin with never-before-seen footage of the USMNT at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar before following them home and abroad. It will explore the change of coach in 2024 from Gregg Berhalter to current head coach Mauricio Pochettino.
Pochettino and Berhalter will appear alongside other players including Sergiño Dest, Tim Ream, Matt Turner, Chris Richards, Giovanni Reyna, Folarin Balogun, Antonee Robinson, Matt Freese, Brenden Aaronson, Malik Tillman, Yunus Musah, Mark McKenzie, and Sebastian Berhalter and journalist Paul Tenorio.

The series is produced by Park Stories, which was founded by Rand Getlin and Janina Pelayo. Getlin directs alongside Luke Korver and exec produces with Pelayo.
