The Banff World Media Festival has added Succession creator Jesse Armstrong and Happy Days actor Henry Winkler to its line-up.
Emmy winner Armstrong, who wrote HBO smash Succession and the likes of Mountainhead and Peep Show, will feature in a keynote moderated by CBC Q’s Tom Power, while Hazardous History host Winkler will appear in an In Conversation talk to look at his career and latest creative work.
Other additions to the line-up include Georgie Holt, the CEO of Stephen Bartlett’s media business, FlightStory, and Allied Global Marketing CEO Adam Cunningham.
The 47th annual Banff World Media Festival will take place June 14–17, 2026, at the iconic Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel in Banff, Alberta, Canada.

Last week, BANFF announced that Netflix’s Jinny Howe would keynote at the event.
Other speakers already announced include David Madden, President at Webtoon Productions at Wattpad; Melissa Ahlstrand, Marketing Director of Americas for Hayu; Justin Stockman, VP, Content Development & Programming at Bell Media; and Dawn Yang, Global Head of Entertainment Partnerships at TikTok. They will all appear at a dedicated track titled Fandom Wednesday, whch explores fan-driven ecosystems and community building.
